Maria M. De Junco

Maria M. De Junco, 86, of Newark, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, with her loving daughter Maritza De Junco and her caregiver Manuela Calo-Queiruga by her side.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Maria at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave., Union, NJ on Friday from 9 to 11 AM. The funeral mass will be held at St. James Church in Springfield at 11:30 AM. Entombment to follow at St. Teresa Cemetery in Summit.

On April 12, 1958 Maria married her late beloved husband of 48 years, Jesus De Junco. Ten days later they left to New York and never returned to their native home of Cuba.

Maria was the beloved mother of Maritza De Junco. She was predeceased by her sisters Dulce Ravelo and Blanca Pumar and survived by 4 sisters and 3 brothers and many loving nieces and nephews.
