Born in Glen Ridge, Julia was a lifelong Union resident until moving to Clinton five years ago. A 2008 graduate of Union High School, Julia was a standout soccer star. Captain of her team during her senior year of high school, she went on to play in college for New Jersey City University, and for the US Parma team. Throughout her soccer career, Julia was a record breaker, and an all-star. Voted NJCU Woman of the Year, she also broke the record for the most goals scored all time in NJ Collegiate history. Her talents didn't end there, as she was also recognized as an All-American Academic. Julia touched many lives on and off the field, and decided to make a career of helping people in need. After majoring in Criminal Justice at NJCU, Julia went to the Essex County Police Academy in 2016, and was hired by the Piscataway Police Department soon thereafter. She deeply loved and was loved by her brothers and sisters in the police department, and her memory will be forever treasured by them. Julia also passionately loved her family, and enjoyed traveling with her wife, Lex. Together they were able to see the world, and shared in so many beautiful adventures.

Julia leaves to cherish her memory her beloved wife, Alexis Mirra; and her adoring parents Manuel and Margaret (nee Masini) Caseres. She was the devoted sister of Orlando, Nicholas, Andrew, Victoria and Joyce Caseres; and was the loving aunt of Valentina.
