Eddy Louisdhon (79) from Summit New Jersey passed away on May 7, 2020 at Overlook hospital due to complications related to the Corona virus (COVID-19).

He was born on April 12, 1941 in Port-Au-Prince Haiti. In his youth, he attended Lycée Louverture, graduated high school and pursued his post-graduate degree at Law School.

Eddy loved his family; the bond of family was of upmost importance to him. He was a devoted husband, married to Fernande Louisdhon (Née Templier) for fifty-nine years.  He was also a proud father, grand-father and great-grandfather.  He leaves behind his son Mario Louisdhon, his daughter Marie G. Obas, son in-law Emmanuel Obas, and grandchildren Jefferson Louisdhon, Romario Louisdhon, Najeekah Obas and Emmanuel Obas Jr. He will be remembered by his childhood friends Carlo, Jean Claude, Walter, Nesly Surin and Frank Nau.

In Haiti, Eddy was well known as a business owner and gifted jewelry designer. He worked diligently to make beautifully crafted pieces of jewelry that were unique andthoughtfully designed for his customers. He was truly passionate about his profession, his craftsmanship and creativity set him apart from others.

He was grounded in his Catholic faith, he attended Sunday mass regularly with his wife. His hobbies included hunting, socializing and playing cards with his friends. He was known for his love for music, he enjoyed listening to a wide variety of songs. Bollero and Latin music were amongst his favorites and as an exceptional dancer, found happiness in dancing and teaching others his fancy footwork.

Eddy was indeed a remarkable man, patient, kind-hearted and had a peaceful spirit about himself. He will be greatlymissed by his family and friends internationally.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to everyone for their prayers, comforting words and genuineacts of kindness during this difficult time. They are truly grateful for your support.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, funeral services will be private.
