Dionne Tracey Alleyne-Duncan

Dionne Tracey Alleyne-Duncan was born on May 29, 1968 in Georgetown, Guyana

to Randolph and Annette Alleyne.

Dionne was called home on May 1, 2019 surrounded by her family in Union, New Jersey.

Dionne spent her childhood in Deer Park, Long Island, where she soared academically.

She attended accelerated classes at George Washington Elementary School, Robert Frost Junior High School

and graduated with high honors from Deer Park High School in 1986, where she was the Valedictorian.

During her years of school, Dionne participated in a variety of sports, extracurricular activities

and played the viola where she not only won numerous awards but also held honorary lead in the school's orchestra throughout middle and high school.

One of her many achievements was her performance at the world renown Carnegie Hall.

Dionne went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from NYU's School of Business

where she received her Bachelors of Science in 1990.

Dionne received an internship from the Segal Group, who recognized her many talents.

She went on to work with the Segal Group as an Actuarial Assistant for thirty years.

She was recently promoted to Vice President of Retirement and Health Practices

for Segal Consulting.

Anyone who knew Dionne knew of her love for family.

Dionne helped care for her two younger twin brothers,

and was dedicated to making sure that her brothers excelled in life.

She then went on to love and nurture her own family.

On March 20, 1994, she married her friend in Christ, Gregory Duncan.

This blessed union brought her three beloved children, Gavin in 1994,

and twins, Colin and Celine in 2003.

Being a wife, mother and aunt brought her tremendous gratification.

Dionne was a gymnastics-mom to Gavin, a den mother to Colin's Boy Scout troupe

and assistant troupe leader for Celine's Girl Scout troupe.

Dionne participated in and nurtured a love of art and music in her children.

Needless to say, her home was often full of her children's friends,

as they often found enjoyment in the presence of Dionne and the adoration that she shared with them.

This lover of travel and the ocean led Dionne and her family to numerous trips to the beach.

Dionne loved traveling with her family, both far and near. Her family and friends from around the world looked forward to her beautiful smile, her kindness, generosity and strong spirit.

She was the go-to-girl to everyone who knew her.

In every way Dionne spent time building relationships with others and people responded to her warmth and loved her for it.

Loved ones that cleared the path for Dionne are her Aunt Violet Isaacs;

her father-in-law, Ronald Duncan Sr.; her beloved grandfather, Walter Daly; her twin nephews, Brandon and Preston;

and the loving arms of her aunts and uncles.Ie.

She leaves behind to mourn her passing: her parents, Annette and Randolph Alleyne;
