William Parker

William “Billy” Parker, of Newark New Jersey passed away on Friday November 7, 2025. A lifelong Newark resident, Billy was the beloved son of the late Concetta and William Parker.

A proud US Army veteran, Billy served his country during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he dedicated decades of service to the Newark public school system.

Billy had a deep love for sports, especially the Chicago Bears and the horses. He enjoyed trips to the Meadowlands and to Atlantic City surrounded by lifelong friends. A man of deep faith, he was a devoted member of St. Lucy’s Church in Newark.

He will be remembered for his gentle nature, his laughter, his smile, and the love he so freely shared with those around him.

Graveside services will be held at Glendale Cemetery, 28 Hoover Ave. Bloomfield on Thursday November 13 at 11am. Arrangements are in the care of the Galante Funeral Home.
