William Liantonio, 78 of East Orange passed away on June 11, 2025.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for William at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Friday June 13 from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. James Church in Springfield on Saturday at 10AM. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Born in East Orange, William was raised there and lived in Mansfield for some time until returning to East Orange. He was the owner and operator of Tarsus Construction Company in East Orange for 58 years.
William was an great fisherman and enjoyed days spent out on the ocean with his employees and friends. He also cherished time out on his motorcycle and his jet ski. William was an avid vegetable gardener, cook and fan of the New York Giants. He treasured memories made in Wildwood every summer with his family.
William was the beloved husband of the late Susan (nee Belbey) Liantonio; loving father of Tara Rozmerski and her husband Joseph; dear grandfather of Joseph, Anthony and Nicole; and the adoring great-grandfather of Anastasia and Lily. He was also the brother of Marianna Rabito, Connie Pelligano, Joanna Rullo, and the late Anthony Liantonio and Antonette Miele.
