Vincent I Callander 88, of Union, NJ died on Friday February 21, 2014, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Lyons, NJ.

The funeral services will be conducted privately by the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue in Union, NJ

Born in Painesville, Ohio, he lived in Montclair, before moving to Union, for  the last 15 years. He was a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service in Fairfield, NJ for 37 years, retiring 17 years ago. He was also a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army and was a POW in a concentration camp in Germany for 2 years.

Vincent is the father of Catherine Gard, and James V. Callander and his wife Lisa Alexis. He is also the brother of the late Cedric Callander, and Constance Morris, as well as the uncle of Barbara Greene, Leslie Martinez, Richard, and David Morris.
