Victor H. Monteiro

Victor H. Monteiro, age 65, of Sparta, New Jersey, passed away on November 27, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Maria Isabel, who cherished him deeply and stood by his side through every chapter of life.

Born in 1960 in the Cape Verde Islands, Victor was known for his kindness, strength, and courage. Those who knew him will remember his warm smile, generous heart, and the way he always made others feel welcome and cared for. Victor enjoyed a rewarding and fulfilling career, into which he poured his heart and took great pride, until illness forced him to retire. One of his greatest joys was playing golf or watching tournaments on television.

To Maria Isabel, Victor was not only a husband, but a soulmate, partner, and best friend—a constant source of love, comfort, and companionship. He is also survived by his beloved children and grandchildren.

A service to honor Victor’s life will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Elizabeth, New Jersey on Wednesday December 3rd at 10:00 am. Followed by entombment at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Newark.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in his memory to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

Victor’s absence leaves a deep emptiness in the hearts of all who loved him. His spirit, love, and the countless memories he created with his family will live on forever.
