Veronica Elliott

Veronica Elliott, of Columbus, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and devoted member of her family.

Veronica was born and raised in Belleville, New Jersey. In the Bloomfield area she went on to dedicate more than 30 years of her life to caring for others as a nurse’s aide at E.C. Geriatrics in Bloomfield, before retiring.

Veronica will be remembered for her generous heart, her love of family, and especially the joy she found in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, creating many cherished memories along the way.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, the late Robert Elliott, and her brother, the late Gerald Natale.

Veronica is survived by her daughters, Melissa Prill Perez and her husband, Manuel; her brother, Peter Pribula; and her sister, Lucile D’Ambola. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Alissa Schweitzer, Arielle Sestito, and Alanna Perez, and her great-grandchildren, Noelle, Valentina, and Giovanni, who brought great joy to her life.

Veronica’s love, kindness, and devotion to her family will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Veronica at the Galante Funeral Home in Union on Friday September 4 from 4 - 7 pm. Mass will be at 9:45 am Saturday September 5 at Holy Spirit Church in Union followed by interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Newark.
