Varoujan "John" Ibrahim Tourian, 83 of Hillsdale passed away on December 29, 2021.

Born in Jerusalem, John attended the American University in Beirut, earning a degree in civil engineering. After moving to the US in 1969, John worked for Syracuse University in New York as a civil engineer until moving to Fair Lawn in 1977. He owned and operated Ollermans Deli in Ridgefield Park for 20 years prior to his retirement.
An intelligent and charming man, John could always be relied upon to help family members in need. A strong provider and businessman, John ensured his children received a good education.
John is survived by his ex-wives Betty Kasperski and Olga Treskin; he was the father of Peter Tourian and his wife Ana and William Tourian; and grandfather of Emma and Luke. He was the dear brother of Dr. Raffi Turian and Aida Ghuneim, and was predeceased by his sister Chaké Tabet. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Leon's Armenian Church, 12-61 Saddle River Rd. Fair Lawn, NJ 07410.
