Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister and Friend

Stella Ann (Raimo) Caggiano, 87 of Union, New Jersey passed away on Monday January 12, 2026, in Summit NJ. Stella passed away peacefully on the day she marked another year of life completing a full and beautiful circle. She was born in Newark, NJ, the daughter of the late John (Generoso) Raimo and Constance Machiaverna Raimo, sister of the late Angelina Menoni (Ray) and Elisa Cantillo (Jack) and predeceased by her husband Richard Caggiano Sr. .

Born and raised in Newark NJ, Stella later moved to Union NJ and worked for New Jersey Bell and retired after 25 years to pursue her love of traveling. Some of Stella’s favorite places to travel were Italy, Alaska, Ireland and the Caribbean but was always up for a trip to Vegas with her friends. When she wasn’t jet-setting, you could find Stella babysitting one of her 9 grandchildren or even baking her famous Christmas cookies with some if not all of them. Before all else, Stella had a fierce love for her 4 children; Richard Caggiano Jr. (Pia) , John Caggiano (Barbara) , Stephen Caggiano (Maria) and Diane Caggiano Fiorenza (Angelo) along with her 9 grandchildren; John Caggiano Jr. (Bridget), Nicole Kramaritsch (Mark) , Alexandra Caggiano, Christina Caggiano, Natalie Caggiano, Alyssa Caggiano, Jessica Caggiano, Angelo Fiorenza, Luciano Fiorenza and her 6 great-grandchildren; Aubrey, Brielle, Olivia, Mila, Vincent and Emma. Stella’s home was a place of love and tradition where the door was always open and there was always a seat at her table. It didn’t matter what season it was, there would always be a get- together at Stella’s house let it be for the holidays in the winter or even summers playing in her pool in the backyard. We find comfort at knowing Stella is at peace and is reunited with loved ones, family and friends that she has missed.

Friends and family are invited to honor Stella's life at the Galante Funeral Home, located at 2800 Morris Ave. Union, NJ, with visitation scheduled for Monday January 19, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass at St. Michael's Church in Union will be held at 10:15 AM Tuesday January 20th, followed by a final farewell at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union, NJ.
