Sonya Nylander

Sonya Nylander, 78 of North Caldwell passed away on June 27, 2024.

A crypt side service will be held at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Rd. North Arlington on Monday July 1 at 10 AM. Arrangements are entrusted to the Galante Funeral Home in Caldwell.

Born and raised in the Ironbound Section of Newark, Sonya moved to North Caldwell in 1982. 

Sonya graduated from Eastside High School in Newark. She was a Vice President of the  Penn Federal Savings Bank in Newark prior to her retirement. She was also a volunteer at the Ironbound Ambulance Squad in Newark. 

She and her late husband Raymond, a CPA, were married in 1982.
