Samantha A. Meade

Samantha Andrea Meade joined her father, Robert Meade, in heaven on October 10, 2025. Samantha is survived by her mother, Ava Lombardi-Meade; her sister, Megan Meade and Megan's husband, Patrick Sheehy; and her grandmothers, Joanne Lombardi-Borrus and her husband, Jules Borrus, and Maylou Meade. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved her very much. In addition to her father, she is predeceased by her grandfathers, Michael Lombardi and John Meade.

Sam, as she was called by most, graduated from James Caldwell High School in 2006 and Montclair State University in 2010. She was an active member of the community throughout her life, starting with her time as a lifeguard and swim instructor at Westville Pool during high school and college. After graduating from college, she opened Caldwell Event Outfitters, formalizing her father’s successful business into a vibrant storefront in the heart of Caldwell’s business district.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Sam was defined by her creative spirit and deep compassion. She was an accomplished artist whose work was celebrated by all who saw it and was most at home listening to music and taking in concerts. She was also a tireless lover of all animals, big and small, finding joy in every creature she met.

Funeral services were held privately, in the care of the Galante Funeral Home.

As a tribute to Samantha's great love for animals and in lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter in East Hanover, New Jersey in her honor.
