Rosa Rosendo

Rosa Rosendo , passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the age of 81. She was born December 25th, 1943, in Galicia, Spain.

Rosa married her husband Juventino and shortly there-after they moved to Uruguay and had their only daughter. They moved again to Mexico where they spent several years until eventually moving to Newark, New Jersey to continue building their lives. They eventually settled in Union, where she spent the remainder of her life.

In life, she was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Everyone around her knew Rosa for her fabulous cooking as well as her love for eating delicious foods, often joking that there was not a food she would not try at least once. She also enjoyed spending her days outside, either walking as far as she could go or staying home and tending to her garden. Rosa really enjoyed spending time with her family no matter where they were, be it New Jersey, California, or Spain. Those closest to her will also remember Rosa for her kindness and willingness to be there for anyone no matter what they needed.

Rosa was predeceased by her husband Juventino, brother Jose (Pepe), and her grandson Alejandro. She is survived and missed by her daughter, Isabel Cristina, grandson, Roberto and her sister-in-law, Paz. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and countless other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

A memorial mass will be held 10am Wednesday, September 17th at Saint Genevieve’s Church located at 200 Monmouth Road in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
