Rolando Vargas 74, of Newark died on Wednesday October 9 th , 2013 at home. The funeral service will be in the Galante Funeral Home 17 Pacific Street at Walnut Street in Newark (Ironbound) on Tuesday at 3 PM. The visitation will be from 2- 3:30 pm on Tuesday. Cremation will be private.
Born in Cuba he lived in Newark for 40 years. He was a longshoreman and a member of ILA Local # 1235 in Newark for 20 years, retiring 8 years ago.
Rolando was married to his wife Francesca (nee Luna) for 4 years, and is the brother of Francisco, Alberto, Isabel, and Luiza Vargas.
