Roberto Valdes, age 73, passed away at home on November 18th 2014.

The  Funeral is  from  the Galante Funeral Home 17 Pacific St. Newark, NJ  on Friday at 9 AM. Funeral mass will be  at St. Michael RC Church, Newark, NJ at 10:00 AM. Interment will be Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Visitation will be Thursday 6-9 PM.

Roberto was born in Cuba then before moving to Newark 30 years ago.  He was an assembly worker for Toyota at Port Newark for 25 years before retiring.

Roberto was predeceased by his parents Gusto and Maria.  He was the husband of Norma (nee Martin Zabala) and the father of Robert Valdes & daughter-in-law Laurie Teixeira, Maria Ines, & Maretta Valdes .  He was the grandfather of Damien T. Valdes, Alexi J. Valdes, Mathew Feijo Manuel Sifontes, & Maria Karla Ramirez .
