Robert Michael Wozniak

Robert Michael Wozniak, 71 of Union passed away at home on August 6, 2026.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Bob at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Tuesday August 11 from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Church in Union on Wednesday at 10:15 AM. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield. 

Born in Perth Amboy, Bob was a graduate of NJIT with two masters' degrees in engineering. He was an electrical engineer for Bell Labs for many years, ultimately serving as a supervisor prior to his retirement nine years ago. A talented engineer, he earned and developed many patents for the company over the years. A dedicated Fourth Degree Knight, Bob enjoyed serving with the Knights of Columbus Council 4504 in Union. He collected donations, made dinners and treasured the camaraderie and community service that the men had together.

A lifelong guitar plater, Bob began playing at the age of 8, delivering newspapers to raise money for lessons. He had his own band for quite some time, and was a member of the Musicians Local 204. 

Bob was the beloved husband of Elaine Wozniak; loving father of David Wozniak and his wife Faith; treasured grandfather of Alina and Maddox, and dear brother of Walter Wozniak and John Wozniak. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
