Robert Thomas Dobler Jr.

d. March 14, 2026

Springfield

Robert Dobler was born April 30th, 1994. He is survived by his mother Janice Dobler and his father Robert Dobler Senior, his paternal grandmother, Jacqueline Dobler, his aunt Patty Armellino, his uncle Paul Armellino, his aunt Sandra Hameroff, his uncle Richard Hameroff, and his cousins Brian, Kevin, Daniel, David, Kristen, Noah, and Hunter. Robert was predeceased by his grandparents Edward and Alberta Tavaska, and by his grandfather Hank "Opa" Dobler.

Robert was a great baby, so good that after 3 short weeks, he would sleep through the whole night. As a child, his favorite food was rice cereal. He loved it so much, his parents were afraid of giving him too much, or else he would throw up. When Robert got a bit older and started school, his grandpa Eddie would pick him up every day, and Robert would spend the afternoons with him. Once grandma retired, Robert got jealous because he had to share his grandfather with her, and he requested that grandma go back to work.

Every Summer, Robert was a fixture at the annual Wildwood Elks convention, starting at a mere 6 weeks old. While finishing up highschool, Robert undertook and succeeded in the strenuous task of becoming an Eagle Scout, showing the drive and motivation he had to see things through. His first job was at Cedar Hill Golf Course in Livingston, New Jersey. With the money he saved up from that job, and some help from his parents, Robert went out and started his landscaping business, affectionately known as Rob Dob’s Landscaping. Robert loved to travel whenever he could and spent every moment possible with friends and family. He loved going to Lake George in the summers to spend time with his cousins and family. Whether it was skiing in the winter, or jet skiing in the summer, Robert was adventurous and always ready for the next thing.

Robert lived life his way, and his way alone. The joy he had for everything he did was contagious, and those who spent time with him couldn’t help but smile along.
