Remedios Gregorio, born on August 24, 1953, in Newark, New Jersey, was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was predeceased by her devoted parents, Jaime and Marina Gregorio, and is survived by her sister Isabel Walsh and brother-in-law Patrick Walsh; her nieces and nephews Damian and Natalie, Jessica and Nick, Sean and Skye; and her cherished great-nieces and nephews Penelope, Henry, and Jamie.
Remedios made her home throughout the years in Newark, Kenilworth, and, most recently, Clark. After graduating from the Bi-Lingual Institute of New York, she began a long and dedicated career as a bilingual administrative assistant. She worked with pride and professionalism at the Bank of New York, Schering-Plough, AT&T, and Hamamatsu until her retirement.
She adored her family deeply and held her parents close in her heart. Remedios loved to travel, to care for her pets, and to shower others with generosity. She was always the first to send a birthday greeting, and she delighted everyone with her daily stream of funny images. A lover of bright colors, accessories, and a good shopping trip, she also fancied herself the family historian—collecting moments, stories, and memories with care.
Remedios will be remembered for her radiant smile, her cheerful voice, and the effortless way she made friends wherever she went. One of her proudest accomplishments was mastering her mother Yaya’s famous Koka (coffee cake)—a recipe she perfected after an entire year of joyful experimentation, much to everyone’s delight.
Her warmth, humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
