Raquel Pernia  (nee Maza) 94 of Linden, N.J.

Formerly of the Ironbound Section of  Newark, N.J.

passed away on Saturday November 17, 2018

at home surrounded by her loving family.

The funeral service will be in the Galante Funeral Home

2800 Morris Avenue in Union, N.J.

on Friday November 23, 2018 at 11:30 am.

Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, N.J.

Visitation will be on Wednesday November 21, 2018  from 4- 8 pm.

Born in Cuba she lived for a while in Spain,

before coming to The Ironbound Section of Newark where she spent most of her life,

and then she moved to Linden, N,J.

The main  focus of her life were her children and her grandchildren.

Raquel was married to her beloved husband Benito Pernia for 36 years

until he passed away in 1994.

She is the loving mother of Ben Pernia,  Ana Santana. Cesar, Lydia, Rachel, and  Nuria Pernia, and

She is also survived by her 9 cherished Grandchildren
