Peggy Ann Helfer

Margaret “Peggy” Ann Helfer (92) of Caldwell NJ passed away on March 28, 2024 in Cedar Grove, NJ. 

Peggy was born and raised in Newark NJ before moving to Caldwell in the early 1970s. 

She was a graduate of St. Vincent Academy in Newark and attended Syracuse University. 

Peggy worked as a dedicated assistant to a prominent commercial real estate developer in Newark NJ for many years.

Most rewarding for Peggy was her long-standing volunteer work at Clara Maas Hospital in Belleville NJ and she especially enjoyed co-chairing on committees for hospital fundraising events. Throughout her life, Peggy gained much strength, joy and comfort from her devout faith in God, which enriched her life in many ways.

Peggy is predeceased by her beloved parents, Emil and Archangela (Avallone) Helfer, her brother Louis and sister-in-law Hilda (Nardone) Helfer, and her sister Dolores Helfer.

Peggy is survived by her sister, Hilda Helfer, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral mass will be offered at St. Aloysius Church in Caldwell NJ on (to be determined).
