Pedro Orbe

Pedro Orbe, 88 of Union passed away on October 1, 2016.

A Cryptside Service will be held at Hollywood Memorial Park, 1500 Stuyvesant Ave. Union on Wednesday at 1 PM. Arrangements are entrusted to the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union.

Born in Spain, Pedro moved to the United States as a young man and worked his way up to becoming a longshoreman at Port Newark for many years. Mr. Orbe enjoyed gardening for himself and others, as well as fixing and maintaining his home. Pedro grew a circle of family and friends who loved him dearly and will miss him terribly.

Pedro was the beloved husband of Helen (nee Celaya); loving father of Doreen Orbe; grandfather of Demitri Fernandez; uncle of John Fernandez, Heather Cassidy, Krysten, Gregory and Alyssa Fernandez; cousin of Juan and Alina Monesterio and their children Jennifer, Destiny and Frankie; and brother-in-law of Gloria Fernandez and the late Frank Fernandez.
