Nicola Chiarella

Nicola Chiarella, 85 passed away on June 27, 2024.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Nicola at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Monday July 1 from 4-8 PM. His funeral mass and entombment will be in Italy.

Born in Italy, Nicola moved to Irvington in 1972, and to Union in 1973. He returned to Italy in his retirement and had recently moved back to Roselle Park with his loving daughter. Nicola worked as a maintenance mechanic for National Manufacturing in Chatham until his retirement 25 years ago. Nicola treasured time spent in Italy, and especially his days hunting and fishing.

Nicola was the beloved husband of the late Domenica Chiarella; devoted father of Rosa Veloso and her husband Armindo; cherished grandfather of Domenica and Francesco, and adoring great-grandfather of Alessia and Sienna. He was also the dear brother of Giuseppe Chiarella, Giovanni Chiarella, Gina Carulli, and the late Maria Paradiso and Michele Chiarella.
