Nicholas Toscano

Nicholas Toscano, 88 of East Brunswick passed away on August 15, 2025.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Nicholas at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Wednesday August 20 from 9am to 12 noon, with a funeral service being held at 11:30am. For those unable to attend, a livestream will be provided beginning at 11:30am and can be accessed by using Meeting ID 997 533 3817 and Password 2800. Cremation will be held privately.

Born in Newark, Nicholas moved to Union in 1966 and was a 40 year resident before residing in Brick for ten years, and settling in East Brunswick in 2016. In January of 1963, Nicholas opened Woodland Auto in Kearny. He was the owner and operator of his family business ever since. A hardworking man of high intelligence, he persevered and ultimately achieved the American Dream of success for himself and for his family.

Nicholas treasured time spent at the racetrack, and owned several racehorses. He enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, and could usually be found near the craps table. Above all, Nicholas cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

Nicholas was the beloved husband of the late Annette Toscano. He was the loving father of Joanne Toscano Knox and her husband Craig, Joseph Toscano, Lori Toscano, Lynn Carlone and her husband Frank and Nicholas Toscano and his wife, the late Carolyn. He was the proud grandfather of Joseph Toscano, Frankie Carlone, Nikki Carr and her husband Michael, Kevin Toscano, Claudia Dahl and her husband Eli, Vincent Bufanio, Jake Toscano, Michael Carlone, Anthony Bufanio, Christa Toscano and Christopher Bufanio; and the adoring great-grandfather of Amelia Jade. He was also the dear brother of Marian Romano and her husband, the late Adam and Phyllis Lourenco and her husband, the late Donald.
