Nicholas Talmo Jr.
Nicholas Talmo Jr. 82, of Toms River, formerly of North Plainfield, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2019.
The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave., Union, NJ. on Friday at 9 AM. The funeral mass will be held at St. James Church, Springfield at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8 PM.
Nick was born in Newark and lived in North Plainfield for 32 years before moving to Toms River 16 years ago. He worked as a diamond setter for Church and Company in Bloomfield for 35 years before opening his own business in Maplewood naming it NAT Setting. He retired 20 years ago. Nick served in the Army National Guard from 1960 - 1966.
Nick loved his children and grandchildren and his wife Kathy was his “Queen”. When anyone would ask him a question his answer would always be “ask my wife”. No one could ever make his dish but Kathy.
Nick is survived by his wife Kathleen (nee Mongiovi). His children Nicholas and his wife Yaya, Anthony, Maria-Lana Bauer and her husband Keneth. Brother of Vincent Talmo and the late Marion Medina. He was also well loved by many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
His life and legacy will endure especially in the hearts of his grandchildren who he lovingly nicknamed Brianna (Dolly), Kearsten (China Doll), and Caylin (Tootsie Roll).
