Nicholas Lordi 74, of Melbourne, Florida, formerly of Newark, N.J. died on Monday April 13, 2015.

Funeral arrangements were held privately in Florida.

A memorial mass will be held at St James Church in Springfield, N.J. on Saturday May 30, 2015, at 12:30pm.

Born in Newark, he lived there most of his life before moving to Melbourne, Florida 4 years ago. He was the chef at the Santa Lucia Restaurant in Newark (Ironbound) for 30 years.

He later became a chef at the Trump Taj Mahal  Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, N.J. for 10 years.

Retiring 4 years ago.

Nicky was the son of the late Peter (Doc) and Modesta (Moddy) (nee Baldasare) Lordi. He was the husband of Susanne (nee Brito), and is the father of Joelle Gurin, Nicholas Lordi Jr. and Christopher Lordi. He is the brother of Phyllis Monguso and Anne Caswell, and is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
