Myrtle Bell

Myrtle J. Bell, 92, of Maplewood, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 11, 2018.

The funeral service will be celebrated in the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10 am.  Interment to follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Union.  Visitation will be on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home.

Born in Jamaica, West Indies, Myrtle lived in Manchester, England and Queens, NY before moving to Maplewood, NJ 10 years ago.  She was a caterer at Sky Chef in Queens, NY and also as a part time home health aide after her retirement.  Myrtle enjoyed traveling and visiting her family all around the world.  She always catered to her children and grandchildren's zest for life and considered her life well lived.

Beloved wife of the late Alberto Oscar Bell; Loving mother of Anthony and Christina Bell; sister of Pearl Alexander, Lilly Nelson, Milicent Park, Winifred Reid, Clara Irving, and Sybil Simpson; grandmother of Nichelle Lambey and Rance Nelson; great grandmother of Shaina Middleton .
