Michael Kapotis

Michael E. Kapotis, 50 of Sussex, NJ passed away on November 28, 2018.

A Visitation will be held at the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell on Saturday December 1st from 2-5 PM, with a funeral service being celebrated at 4:30 PM. Cremation will be private.

Born in Patras, Greece, Michael came to the United States with his family in 1970, settling in Irvington. He then lived in Elmwood Park, Rochelle Park, Fairlawn and throughout Bergen County for many years until moving to Sussex 2 years ago.

A real estate broker and investor for much of his life, Michael had a passion for buying, fixing and selling just about anything. He was an expert in antiques, cars and properties, providing all the care it needed to be good as new again. Michael lived his life to the fullest, enjoying many opportunities and experiences many will never have. His zest for life was reflected in his love for dancing, music, the great outdoors, and especially in his love for his six sons. A talented salesman, Michael lived by his favorite quote, "If you don't ask, you will never receive."

Michael was the beloved husband of Katherine (nee Giselle) Kapotis; loving father of Michael, Thomas, Emmanuel, Nikolas, Noah and Jacob; and dear brother of Gus Kapotis and his wife Vicki.
