Michael Cerracchio

Michael Cerracchio, 86 of Springfield passed away on August 13, 2025.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Michael at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Friday August 15 from 5-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. James Church in Springfield on Saturday at 10 AM. For those unable to attend, a Facebook Livestream will be provided and can be accessed by following Galante Funeral Home on Facebook. Entombment will follow at St. Teresa Cemetery in Summit.

Born in Italy, Michael moved to East Orange in 1959, and lived in Union for 44 years until settling in Springfield 15 years ago. He was the owner and operator of South Orange Subaru, and South Orange Imported Cars for many years prior to his retirement several years ago. Michael was a hard worker, and made friends wherever he went. He enjoyed meeting new people, and frequently invited strangers to his home where they became cherished friends.

Michael was the beloved husband of Maria (nee Aiossa) Cerracchio; and dear brother of Erberto Cerracchio and his wife Rosalia. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
