Matteo Antonio Piano

Matteo Antonio Piano, age 72, of Union, passed away on August 28, 2023. 

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  Matty is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sharon; children, Matt and Kelly, and the late Jessica; grandchildren Juliana, Matteo, and Nico; brothers Antonio Piano(Jackie) and John DiLeo (Cathy); niece and nephews Antonio and Christopher Piano, Christopher and Rosanne DiLeo.

Matty was a hard working man and his family meant the world to him especially his grandchildren. He was a selfless man who would help anyone with anything at anytime.   His ability to sacrifice, provide, support, and love will forever be ingrained in all he knew. He lived a simple life enjoying his cigars and a glass of scotch with friends, and fishing with his grandchildren.

To honor Matteo’s memory, relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday, August 30, 2023,  from 3-7 pm at Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union, NJ. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 10:30 AM at St Joseph's Church in Maplewood, NJ. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
