Mark R. Glaser
The world lost a bright shining light when Mark Robert Glaser passed away peacefully on December 27, 2019, with his loving wife close by his side.
Born in Newark, NJ on February 26, 1957, to F. Robert and Delores Glaser, Mark moved to and was raised in Union, NJ. He graduated from Union High School and went on to earn a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University.
He met the love of his life, Deborah Glaser (nee Allister), in high school and they married in 1979.
Mark is survived by his wife of forty years, Debbie, his father, F. Robert, and his two sons. He was a loving father and hero to his children, Steven and his wife, Erika, and David and his wife, Joanna. He is also survived by his four siblings, Matthew and his wife Mary, Paul and his wife Patty, Peter and his wife Lisa, and his sister, Julie Krezel.
He adored his role as a doting grandfather to Shannon, Dylan and Nicholas, who were the lights of his life.
Mark worked for over forty years as a mechanical engineer with his Dematic (Rapistan) family. He was a devoted member of Connecticut Farms Church in Union his entire life. He loved to travel, cruise, and vacation with his family. He loved all things Disney, camping at Lake George and anything on four wheels.
Mark will be remembered for his love and devotion to his wife and family. His warm, caring, selfless personality will be greatly missed. He was the first to call or show up in tough times and cared deeply about helping others. He thoroughly enjoyed family celebrations and spending time with friends. His contagious smile and loving personality will live on in all of us.
