Marisa Moriello, 82 of Elizabeth passed away on December 10, 2023.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Marisa at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Thursday December 14 from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Church in Elizabeth on Friday at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Linden.
Born in Bisaccia, Italy, Marisa has lived in Elizabeth since 1963. A talented seamstress, she loved to sew, and worked in the garment industry for many years. Marisa loved to bake, and her tiramisu and taralles were delicious, and were always looked forward to by her family. Marisa was a devoted, active parishioner of St. Anthony's Church for 60 years. Family was most important to Marisa, and she especially treasured time spent with them during the holidays.
The daughter of the late Carmine and Maria Grazia (Cela) Moriello, Marisa was the cherished sister of Pietro Moriello (Kathryn), Mario Moriello (Emma), Albertino Moriello (Marina), and the late Egidio Biagio Moriello (Maria T. Pali) Moriello and Michelina Sapia. She is also survived by her sister-in-law and caregiver Filomena. Marisa was the beloved aunt of Peter Joseph Moriello (Thelma), Anthony Moriello (Rachel), Alexia Moriello, Carmine Jon Moriello, Mario Moriello, Jr., Stefano Moriello (Tonya), Carmine Moriello (Rosemarie), Nicole Moriello (Danielle), Grace Rivera (Jeorge), Anna Murphy and Stefano Moriello, and is also survived by many loving great-nieces and great-nephews.
