Marie Sauer

Marie Sauer (nee Smith), 95, formerly of Union passed away on September 29, 2018 at Somerset Woods Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Tuesday October 2 at 11 AM. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park. Visitation is on Tuesday morning from 10-11 AM at the funeral home.

Born in West Point, NY, Marie was a Union resident for 50 years before moving to Warren and Bedminster several years ago. A strong willed, independent woman, Marie loved traveling to the beach, but especially enjoyed caring for her family.

Marie was the beloved wife of the late William Sauer; loving mother of Cathy Sauer and Barbara Sauer; dear grandmother of Nicole Langel, Brian Paolella and Dana Romano; and great-grandmother of Jonathan, Joseph, Brianna, Alaina, Nicolena and Lilou.
