Marie V. Riccio

Marie V. Riccio (nee Dispenziere), 91 passed away peacefully on July 22, 2023.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Marie at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Wednesday July 26 from 4-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Church in Union on Thursday at 10:15 AM. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park.

Born in Newark, Marie lived in Bloomfield and Morristown until residing in Madison for eight years. She then lived in Union for a short time before becoming a resident of Horizon Manor in Upper Montclair, where she spent 13 wonderful years in their caring and compassionate environment.

Marie worked in the cafeteria at Prudential Insurance Company in Newark for 17 years until her retirement 20 years ago. She was also a devoted member of the Golden Age Club in Union. Marie was a talented pianist and artist, and above all, cherished time spent with her family.

Marie was predeceased by her husband Henry A. Riccio. She was the loving mother of Joseph Riccio and his wife June, and the late Henry Riccio. She was the dear grandmother of Joseph A. Riccio, and was also predeceased by her siblings Salvatore, Nicholas, Carmen, Benjamin and Joseph Dispenziere, Ann Brennan, Nancy Savoy and Josephine Liuzza.
