Dear Family and Friends,

We sincerely thank you for standing with us — for your presence, your comfort, your prayers, and your support in every form. In this moment of deep sorrow, you have been our strength. It is with the heaviest heart that we, as parents, speak today about our own daughter. This is not how life is meant to be. A child should be the one to lay their parents to rest — not the other way around.

Our precious girl, Marianne was born in 1989 in Limbe, Southwest Province of Cameroon, to us, Pa John Nkweta and Mami Grace. From the moment she entered this world, she was gentle, sweet, and deeply loved.

Her journey began at CNPS Nursery School, Coconut Island (1993–1994), continued at Catholic School Garden, Limbe (1994–2000), and then at Presbyterian Girls’ Secondary School, Limbe (2000–2005), where she earned her GCE Ordinary Level. She completed her Advanced Level in 2007 at Saker Baptist College, Limbe.

Determined to follow her dreams, she went on to the University of Buea, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Geology in 2011. In 2012, God brought into her life a man she would love and trust — Romanus Saahkem. They married, and later she joined him in the United States. She enrolled at Essex County College where she obtained a Diploma degree in Science in 2014, and Became a Certified Pharmacy Technician in 2015 where she worked at West Orange Rite Aid. She enrolled in Bloomfield College of Nursing from 2015-2018, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and work as a Registered Nurse. She also became a licensed financial professional in 2021 where she was able to help many families protect, grow and create generational wealth/legacies.

Together, they were blessed with three beautiful daughters, who became the center of her world. She was a devoted mother, pouring out her heart, her time, and her every breath into raising them. Our daughter was quiet, gentle, and humble — a timid little angel who looked to her husband as her protector. She had dreams yet to be fulfilled, plans yet to be lived, and love yet to be shared. But life, in its mystery, called her home far too soon.

She leaves behind her three precious children, her two loving brothers, her heartbroken mum and dad, her husband, and an entire family and community who will forever miss her presence. Our darling girl, Daddy’s baby, Mummy’s treasure — you have left a space no one can fill. We will carry you in our hearts until we meet again. Sleep peacefully in the arms of the Lord. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May His arms hold you in eternal peace. Until we meet again in the presence of our Heavenly Father. Amen.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
