Maria De Andres

Maria Virosta De Andres, 91 of Newark passed away on August 14, 2016.

A Visitation will be held at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Friday from 7-9 PM. Interment will take place in Spain.

Born in Bobadela, Spain, Maria arrived and settled in the Ironbound section of Newark in 1970. She worked as a seamstress for many years from her home, taking in work from local factories.

Maria was the beloved wife of the late Manuel; loving mother of Jose Manuel, Antonio, Carlos, Luis, Maria Ramos, Marisol Fernandez, Lucita Cartagena and the late Isabel Andres; sister of Elvira, Lucita, Josefa and Pilar; grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 7.
