Margaret Elizabeth Owen, also known as "Bebe," was born on June 13, 1944, in Teaneck, New Jersey. The daughter of the late Claude William Owen Sr. and Margaret Rotondi. She was also the sister of the late Claude William Owen Jr.
Bebe was the owner of Bebe's Place in Little Ferry for over 30 years. She loved to do hair and worked as a hairdresser for over 30 years until retirement. She enjoyed Egyptology, Elizabeth Taylor and Cher and she was an acting student under the tutelage of William Hickey. She was an extra in the movie “Goodfellas”, and was very proud of her on screen appearance.
Bebe was the beloved aunt of Ruthann Owen Osolin and her husband Robert, Claude William Owen III and his wife Joanne, and niece Noella Rose Owen. She was the great-aunt of Alexandra Margaret Owen, Reid Austin Osolin, Guinevere Fee Owen, Ioan Claude Owen, and the late Ryan Robert Osolin.
Bebe was the loving godmother to Lori Ann Silvano and Reid Austin Osolin.
Bebe was a special friend to Charles Paragian and Daniel Sernekos and their children Raymond, Maggie, Kayla, Justin, Jayda and Nekos Paragian, whom she loved very much
