Luis Rodriguez 96, of Elizabeth, passed away on December 23, 2022.

Husband of the late Julia (nee Mendez)

Father of Jose and Aurelia Alvarez and her husband Manuel.

Brother of Concepcion Dominguez.

Grandfather of Manuel, David, Ashley, Celeste, Daniel and Lukas.

Great-Grandfather of Sofia.

Luis was born and raised in Pineiro Ourense, Spain.

He arrived in 1962 and worked construction until becoming a longshoreman.

He was a member with the International Longshoreman Union in Newark up until his retirement in 1986.

He was also a former member of the Ourence Club in the Ironbound section of Newark.

A funeral service will be held at the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave In Union on Thursday at 10AM.

Followed by Entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum  North Arlington NJ.

Visitation is on Wednesday from 4 - 8PM.
