Louis Zayas

Louis Zayas, 53 of Roselle passed away on August 24, 2026.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Louis at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Wednesday August 26 from 5-8 PM. A graveside service will be held at Rosehill Cemetery, 792 E. Edgar Rd. Linden on Thursday at 11 AM. Those attending the burial are asked to meet by the cemetery office at 10:45 AM.

Born in Newark, Louis lived in Irvington before moving to Roselle Park. He resided there for 12 years prior to settling in Roselle three years ago. A hard worker, Louis was a dedicated dairy manager for Shop-Rite in Elizabeth for 37 years. An avid fan of the New York Giants, Louis enjoyed attending games, or watching and betting on them when he couldn't. Full of happiness that would light up any room he was in, Louis had a gift for making people laugh. The joy he brought to those he loved will forever be held in their hearts.

The devoted son of Patricia and the late Louis Zayas, Louis was the beloved husband of 28 years to Soraida Zayas. He was the loving father of Desiree Jimenez, Darius Zayas, Dynasia Zayas, Issac Zayas and Donte Zayas; cherished brother of Michael Zayas and Dina Zayas; and adoring grandfather of Soulene.
