Loretta “Lorrie” Williamson of Clark, NJ entered eternal rest on Saturday May 9, 2020. Lorrie was born in Newark, N.J. and Raised in Union, NJ.
Lorrie had fond memories of her youth growing up on Reid Street. She was employed by Village Supermarkets (Millburn Shop Rite) for the past 40 years.
Lorrie was a devout catholic. She loved her faith and God. For many years she was an active member of Saint James the Apostle Church, Springfield, NJ. where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. After moving to Clark she became a member of the Parish Community of St. Helen’s.
Lorrie loved life, especially when it came to cooking, her Tuesday morning coffee crew, or just relaxing in her beach chair on 4th Avenue in Ortley Beach. Family was everything to Lorrie. Her Passion was hosting her family for every holiday; from brunch on New Years Day to an Italian feast on Christmas Eve and every holiday in between.
Lorrie is survived by her her husband of 23 years Raymond and two loving children Jennifer Freese and Raymond Williamson. She is also survived by two brothers Robert J. Purcell Jr. and his wife Patrica and James A. Purcell and his wife Melissa. Lorrie was blessed to have countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss here dearly. Lorrie was predeceased by her loving parents Robert and Lucille Purcell.
A Memorial Visitation in Lorrie's honor will be held at Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue In Union, N.J. on Thursday September 17, 2020 from 4 - 6 PM.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Agnes Church 332 Madison Hill Road in Clark, N.J. 07066 on Friday September 18, 2020 at 9:45 AM, Everyone that is attending the Memorial Mass will meet directly at St. Agnes Church on Friday Morning September 18, at 9;45 AM
A donation can be made in Lorries honor to The American Cancer Society or The Wounded Warrior Project
