Linda Marfia, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on December 22, 2025. Born in Newark, New Jersey, before moving to Clark and ultimately settling in Manahawkin, where she enjoyed the company of her family for the last eight years of her life.
Linda dedicated a significant portion of her professional life as a secretary for the International Longshoremen Association, where she served loyally for twenty years before her retirement.
In her personal life, Linda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She shared a deep bond with her husband, Alan Marfia. Linda took immense pride in her family, including her son Alan Marfia and his wife Stephanie, as well as her daughter Valarie Genuario and her husband Anthony. She was a devoted grandmother to Nicholas, Vincent, Gia, and Adrianna, cherishing every moment spent with them, particularly by the backyard pool where they created countless joyful memories together.
Linda had a close-knit relationship with her siblings, including her brother Nunzio LaGrasso and sister Lisa Maccia, who, along with their spouses Dolores and Richard, respectively, appreciated her unwavering love and support throughout their lives.
Linda's zest for life was palpable, and she found joy in entertaining family and creating a welcoming home environment. Her legacy of love, warmth, and devotion to her family and friends will remain a lasting influence on all who knew her.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on December 28, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Galante Funeral Home, located at 2800 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083. A Mass in Linda's honor will take place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, located at 259 Oliver St, Newark, NJ 07105, on December 29, 2025, at 10:30 AM, followed by entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union.
Linda Marfia's memory will forever be etched in the hearts of her family and friends, and her legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know her.
