Lina Collot

Lina Collot, 66 of Hillside passed away on January 14, 2026.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Lina at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Saturday January 31 from 9 to 10am, with a funeral service celebrated at 10am. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Hillside. Repast will be held at Mario's at 495 Chestnut Street in Union.

Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Lina settled in Elizabeth in 1987, and moved to Hillside 22 years ago. She was a devoted member of her church in Elizabeth, and was a proud nurse's assistant for Alliance in Irvington prior to her retirement in November 2024.

Lina was the loving daughter of Fernande R. Collot and the late Emilia Pierre. She is also survived by her brothers Evens Collot and Wilfrid Philip, her niece Ebony Collot and her nephews Christian Collot and Bradley Collot.
