Lena Rizzo

Lena Rizzo (nee Ferruggia) 97, of Union died on Wednesday May 9th, 2012, at home.


The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, on Saturday at 9 am. The funeral mass is at St. Michael Church in Union, at 10:15 am.


Interment is in Hollywood Memorial Park. Visitation is Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm.


Born in Newark she lived in Irvington before moving to Union, 43 years ago.


She was a member of the Union Twp. Senior Citizens Monday Club.


Lena was married to her late Husband Anthony Rizzo for 60 years until he died in 2001. She was the mother of Eleanor Bochicchio and her husband Louis, Phillip Rizzo and his wife Sandra, and the late Toni Giacalone and her late husband Anthony. She was also the sister of Carmen, the late Thomas, Salvatore, and Dominick Ferruggia, Josephine Mayo, Rose Iotti, and Mary Cagnole, as well as the grandmother of Phillip & Nicole Rizzo, Anthony Giacalone & Gina Nogueira, and the great grandmother of Anna and Emma.
