Joyell Jennifer Goad

December 16, 2023
Joyell beat you all to the last punch! She is laughing at you while playing Chicken with her beloved
Daddy in Heaven. Her heart figured she’d get a head start on the holidays a week early, on December
16th , 2023 after a less than average life span of 47 years.
Joyell – Jojo, JJ, Jo, Pain-In-the-ass by most – joins the Party-in-Heaven with her Daddy, William Goad of
Church Hill, Tennessee, while her mom, Erin Booth Barcan (Ira) of Sarasota, Florida will keep her
memory alive above ground. Her proudest accomplishment is her son, Connor Booth Goad, of Sarasota
who inherited his mother’s insane personality and wicked sense of humor. Her fantastic smile only
looks better on him because of braces! To be honest, we always thought she should have had 10 kids –
that’s how amazing of a mom she is. She wouldn’t, because she always said she couldn’t imagine loving
another child the way she loved Connor. Sisters Tammy Gilreath of Church Hill, Tennessee; Kerri Goad-
Berrios (Oscar) of Springfield, NJ; and brother Jesus Goad (Cintia) of Deer Park, TX will miss her dearly
and can now emerge from the shadows of her greatness. Yes, she had multiple siblings, not just Kerri.
Papa was a rollin’ stone……. But we all love him! We always wanted a picture of the four of us
together…. One of us is going to have to figure out how to use PhotoShop.
Her nieces and nephews include Alejandro (Alex), Gianna Marie, Dominick, Patrick and Kerri, as well as
her great niece Reign Nora and can live on to embellish her memory. She loved each and every one of
them, and smiled at the mention of their names.
From Joyell: The family had me cremated on December 19, 2023 and are looking to update the paint in
the living room. Not to mention, I’m getting a little dusty and my family has no sense of humor. No
time like the present for this service! Bring your best memories, positive energy and as few tears as
possible for this. And try to wear green, it’s my favorite color!
Visitation will be on Friday January 26th, 2024 from 11am-3pm at Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union, NJ.
