Josephine A. Cavalla

Josephine A. Cavalla, daughter of John J. and Emma, a life-time resident of Newark, New Jersey died on May 2, 2019, at the age of 84.

Born in 1934 in Newark, N.J., Josephine was employed by Federal Pacific Electric and later by the City of Newark, where she worked until her retirement.

She was a member and trustee of St. James Church in Newark, New Jersey and was honored in 1990 as Recipient of Jubilee Medal Pro Meritless for Distinguished Services with the Archdiocese of Newark by Archbishop McCarrick.

Josephine was an independent woman with a strong faith and a love of her family and friends. She loved doing crafts and enjoying cooking and baking surrounded by her loved ones, especially on Christmas Eve. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.

She is survived by many cousins and friends, all of whom who brought great joy to her.

Josephine was predeceased in death by her father and mother, John J. and Emma (Bastardi) Cavalla.
