John Austin Dragseth, age 81, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2024. He was born on March 31st 1943 in Seattle Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold R Dragseth & Winifred E Dragseth (nee Robb), and his loving wife of 42 years, Margaret Ann Dragseth.
John was a loving husband, and dear friend to many. Although he did not have children of his own, he embraced the role far more than many others, and his guidance and love will never be forgotten. John is survived by his dear friend Lovella Santos, Godson Joseph Fristensky, Niece Cheryl Egan & Nephew Michael Egan
John was the founder and owner of Tri-Island Distributors for over 30 years, where he made lasting friendships and contributions to his community. In his free time, he enjoyed being Treasurer of the Lackawanna Chapter of the Railway and Locomotive Historical Society, volunteering at the VA hospital and spending time with his family & friends.
John will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family. May he rest in peace.
