James Anthony "Butch" Fresco was a man who said what he meant and did what needed to be done. He was tough, determined, and proud of the life he built with his own two hands. Butch ran a successful garbage hauling and roll-off business. A longtime car enthusiast, Butch had a deep appreciation for antique cars. He collected them, showed them, and knew exactly what made them special. He enjoyed the atmosphere of classic car shows and the kind of company that came with them-people who understood the value of old-school craftsmanship. He had his routines and didn't stray far from them. Every day included his pick-its and Jack's hot dogs. But what mattered most to Butch, even if he didn't say it often, was his family.
Butch was preceded in death by his father James Carmine Fresco; his mother Anna Devino Fresco; his wife, Joan Fresco; son, James Anthony Fresco; sisters, Marie Lamera and Roseann "Posey" Ruzzano; and by his brothers John Fresco and Anthony "Dilly" Fresco.
Butch is survived by his sibling Rocco Fresco, and by his children: Judy and her husband Jerry Camb, Jacqueline and her husband Frank Dente, Joseph and his wife Robin Fresco and Jamie Fresco. His grandchildren include Robert and his wife Julie Vidal, Joseph and his wife Miranda Fresco, Frank and his wife Gianna Dente, and Jerianna Camb He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Liv and Maverick Vidal and Antonia Dente. Butch also leaves behind a wide circle of extended family, nieces, nephews, and friends-many of whom knew that once you were in his circle, you had his loyalty. James Anthony "Butch" Fresco didn't need to be flashy or sentimental. He showed up, worked hard, and stood tall. That's the legacy he leaves behind.
