Irene Bellacosa

Irene Bellacosa (nee Sweeney) 84, of Westfield, died on Tuesday September 25th, 2012 at home.


The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue Union, on Friday at 9 am. The funeral mass will be in St. James Church, Springfield at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visitation will be on Thursday from 7-9 PM.


Born in Newark she lived in Union before moving to Westfield 4 years ago.


Irene was the mother of Richard and his wife Jody, Robert A. And the late Karen Bellacosa. She was also the sister of Rosemary Simone, the late Teresa Lauber, and Martin Sweeney, as well as the grandmother of Keri, Mallory, Michael, Brittany, and the late Robert.


In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to Butterfly Wishes 67 Walnut Avenue Suite # 205 Clark, N.J. 07066 in her memory.
