Ilda Jesus Coelho

Ilda Jesus Coelho, a beloved mother and grandmother, peacefully left this world on June 18, 2025, at the age of 99. Born in Portugal on March 27, 1926, Ilda's journey through life was one characterized by love, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her family.

For many years, Ilda worked tirelessly in a Cantina, where her warm smile and generous spirit touched the lives of countless patrons. She poured her heart into her work, treating everyone as if they were family, and creating an inviting atmosphere.

Ilda called Union her home for the last 25 years. Her passion for gardening was a reflection of her nurturing nature; she found joy in tending to her plants, always eager to share the beauty of her blooms with those around her.

Ilda's legacy lives on through her loving family. She is survived by her cherished daughter, Maria Fatima Oliveira, her son-in-law, Hermenegildo, and her adored granddaughter, Estela Oliveira. Each of them carry within their hearts the many lessons she imparted, the love she shared, and the memories they created together.

A visitation to honor Ilda will be held on June 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Galante Funeral Home in Union, NJ. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating her beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

 Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide all who knew her, reminding us of the importance of nurturing our loved ones and the beauty that life holds.
