Herman Vasquez

Herman Vasquez passed away on November 4th, 2023 in Union, NJ surrounded by his loving family at home. 

Relatives, friends, and the community are invited to attend a visitation for Herman at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union, NJ on Thursday, November 9th from 6-8 PM. The following day, Friday, November 10th, a memorial mass will be held at St. James Church in Springfield, NJ at 10 AM. 

Raised in Colombia, Herman lived in Bogota for the majority of his youth until he moved to New Jersey with his wife, Bertha Vasquez in the 90s. In 1999, they had their first child, Sebastian Vasquez, and their second child, Nicholas Vasquez, 4 years later, in 2003. 

Herman was an amazing man through and through. Let him be an example of how we should all live our lives. He was so incredibly loved by everyone who knew him, and that is because he had so much love in his heart, so much compassion for people, and a smile that could light up a room. His unwavering positivity is a testament to the fact that in this world, kindness is what brings us all together.
